Go Youth! Global Open Call 2022

Do you have an idea to spark health in your community? The Go Youth! Global Open Call 2022 is a global competition open to youth between 18 to 35 years old. This crowdsourcing open call will identify youth-led social innovation in health and support them in further research. Given the strong focus of this open call on providing research support, ideas with evidence on pilot or early-stage implementation are preferred. Social Innovation in Health is defined as a community-engaged process that links social change and health improvement, drawing on the diverse strengths of local individuals and institutions. Social innovation argues that having local beneficiaries drive the development of a health programme results in more sustainable and accountable services (Halpaap et al, Lancet Global Health, 2020).   All you need to do is either prepare a 500-word description or a 3-minute audio file or video describing your innovation, and submit it to us online, through email, or through WhatsApp. We accept submissions in all six official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). This open call has prizes. Exceptional submissions will receive seed research funding, mentorship and support for their research, opportunities for networking and partnerships, as well as local and international recognition for their ideas. The deadline is 30 June 2022. This open call is organized by the Social Entrepreneurship to Spur Health team, as part of the Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI).
